TomTom Model(s)
tomtom one 3rd edition
Have a One LE from bestbuy, purchased around last Christmas. Did a update August 13. Now when I turn it on I only get the start up screen, and it seems to be stuck in a loop. don't have a backup to fall back on., TOMTOM home doesn't seem to recognize the unit, but I can see the files with explorer. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it, short of sending back to TT?

I never updated the unit before, so I assume that it was the firmware update and whatever other updates that were available.

Try this. This may not be exactly your problem, but I know the following will stop a tomtom from repeatedly booting itself. Mine would complete the boot process and then start over again. not sure if yours is doing exactly that. anyway...try this........

using wordpad create a blank text file and save it as poweroff.txt (save as .txt document). Then using a file manager rename it to poweroff (remove the .txt suffix)

save this and place in the root of your tomtom. it will stop the repeating poweron/poweroff issues.
