Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if the tomtom one IQ routes depletes the battery if it is left unused for a while?

I found this feature really annoying on the older ONE models and wanted to know if TomTom had finally addressed this in the latest model.

Thanks for any help

Yes it will do and without a true reset switch there is no way to fully power off these newer devices that are only reset using the on/ off switch - Mike

Thanks for the reply.

One more question - does anyone know if the garmins have the same issue of battery depletion?

Ive always bought tomtoms but this battery issue is making me question whether I should look elsewhere!

I am not too sure about the recent Garmin models but my Nuvi 310D can sit switched off for months and is always ready for action if I decide to press it in to action, not sure if this applies to the newer models though as its quite a while since I played around with a Garmin - Mike
