Hello all,
I just recently aquired a 2nd TomTom One 2nd edition from someone that didn't like it (hey it was FREE)....

I have had a One 2nd edition for a while now, however this one came with the Maps installed on an SD Card where mine came with them installed on the unit hard drive. (I still have the option of adding a card on my original).

Is there a way to transfer the maps over to the unit drive and then use the SD Card for additional maps or POIs?

There probably is a map on the new unit's internal memory. So you want to find out just what these map versions are.

With the SD card in, boot up the unit. Press the spot where the satellite bars are, then press the box which says 'Version ...'. A page of info will come up and it's here that you will find the map version. Take a note of it.

Now remove the sd card and see if the unit boots up from the internal memory. If it does, repeat the above to find out the map version.

Then report back here and we'll see what you should do.
