Ok...got a 4gb SD Card and it's seen by the TomTom. Aside from MP3s, pics, and maps...what else can I put/move there? What will the TomTom look for on the SD card? :)

Thanks from a newbie. Loving my 730 so far

Anything you want. The 730 model sees the storage on a sdhc card **in conjunction** with the internal 2 gigs storage.

Personally, I have the NA map on the card and everything else on internal. But just about any sort of permutation and combination will do....

You do have an Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents, right? Or in your situation, one bu for internal and one for the card. Ensure hidden files/folders are showing.

Yep, first thing I did. I read the FAQ! :)

Their cs has been nothing but good to me. I bought a refurb and they have me the latest map. Also has an issue getting the traffic trial to work. They gave me the trial PLUS a year free. I'm definintely happy with my $131 purchase so far!

So should I be able to put my custom .ov2 files in a directory on the SD card with the same name as the maps directory on internal flash? I tried that and they disappeared.

I stick a 4GB SD card in and I can't find the jpg files.

I'm a newbie, just bought the GO 730 and inserted a 4GB card. I can get several things working, but I don't know how to view pictures in the card when I go to "Music and Media". There's no menu to select the source of "Photo Gallery".

Have tried googling and re-reading the user manual, but nothing. What do I do?

Thanks for helping.

... and how do I delete things in the set?

Me again. I downloaded a phone book but I want to delete individual addresses as I'll use handsfree only for a few contacts (family, mostly). How do I do it?

All photos go in the folder called photos. The images can be .bmp or .jpg.

The contact.txt is a text file that goes into the contacts folder. You can remove individual entries using Notepad or some other text editor.
