Off Road Capabilities

I'll be traveling far off road (about 70 miles) this winter and was wondering if you are miles from any road and use my location to set POIs, will the unit direct you somehow (with a line) back to this POI if that is your destination. Might be useful in bad weather. I'm in civilization now so I can't test this out. Maybe someone with a boat not near a ferry route can help out here.

As I recall, traveling a brand new road in James Bay a few years ago my old go 700 just gave up and didn't indicate which direction to head in for my destination.

I now have a VIA 1435.

It SHOULD work reasonably.

I was able to load it on my old GO700. Seems to do the trick.
