Downloading a new map, I mean. So far it's pure B.S.

I'm doing everything in the order in which it should be done and I've hit a brick wall. Getting nowhere fast.

What is the procedure for downloading a new map to a brand new empty 2GB SD card??? And where do I go to do it? Thought I was on the right track but when it came time to enter my billing info it asked for my country (USA) and it wasn't listed in the drop-down menu. SCREECH TO A HALT!!!
