TomTom Model(s)
europe 3
Hello! I have an old Tom Tom One Europe which has always been great and all I need. Yesterday it was in the car charging and it turned off completely. I can't charge it on the PC and the green light won't come on at all unless I really hold the cable to the PC at an angle and with a lot of force. Have i bent the pins or something. Any help appreciated- I know nothing about this!
It has dropped off the screen a few times so is it damaged?
Thank you all.

Thank you for answering. Yes, the car-charger is the one that came with it. I'm just using a genral connection PC cable to try and connect it to the PC. The green light goes on only if I hold it right in.

Sounds like a simple "you've broken it" to me, I'm afraid. :(

Can you compare the mini-USB socket to one on anything else? Does the "contact block" inside the shell wiggle around if you poke it?

I've just managed to snap one of the front USB sockets on my PC (hit a memory stick with my knee) Very annoying!

I had that 'feeling' too and shall have to get a new one, I guess. Thanks very much for your time, Andy.

Where are you based?
Unlike the US, there do seem to be a few places in the UK that will do repairs.

Whether it's going to end up more expensive to repair than buying a new one, I don't know...(but I can guess :()

Hello again! I'm in Oxfordshire and a technophobe...just hoping I could get it fixed as it's always been great and I'd rather 'recycle'!

Hello Andy,

I'll try those. I really appreciate your kind help; trying to get it fixed before my husband notices!

Thank you so much.
