no safty cameras available in us?

when ever i give the option to download saftycameras it always comes back with no results

anyone know if this is a problem or is this for the US?

As far as I know, the US does not use "safety cameras" like Europe does. We have the occasional red-light camera. But they have camera's actually monitoring speed on the roadways in some places.

No, you wouldn't be able to access those

Most speed cameras no longer take pictures because of all the court fight against speed cameras. Now it's just there to scare people to slow down.

As for the red light camera, I believe I set the device to alert about it but it did not alert me about the red light cameras at all.

Maybe I have to update my TomTom or something. I report back once I update it in few weeks.

More or less... Europe calls them "Safety" cameras... we call them invasion of privacy cameras here in the US.. (j/k).

There are quite a few around the Philadelphia area. Redlight camera is the most common name for them.

None the less they all do the same thing, take your picture and mail you a ticket when you break the law.

Just ask my mother-in-law, she had a speeding ticket mailed to her, furthermore, it supposedly catches those going through red lights.

Seems their is a published list of these camera's done by the local newspaper or some other site, but nobody has created the poi's for TOMTOM members to exchange yet. If I had a reason to go to Cleveland, I would of created one already.
