No Maps Found

Merry Christrmas Everyone.

My Go 730 will not load up my maps. shows that they are installed in tomtom home, but cant get past this page during the setup screens. I did get a tom tom server error during the registration that the tom tom server timed out . Also where do I find my Activation Code. I just assumed that it would automatically be detected during setup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi

the problem im having is that the maps are not found so when i try to add the united kingdom on ehtat it cam with on my tom tom xl classic it says it doesnt work and on the unit it wont work at all or let me past it.
It says on the Tom Tom home that it needs activating but it doesnt code with a code.

I have tried that how to install with oiut home and that has not wokred eithr can you help very frustrating

TomTom GO 630

Hi there I have a TomTom Go 630 and this problem has happened to me as well. The unit worked fine this morning until I plugged into my Mac and downloaded and installed the suggested update for the maps. NOw when I turn the unit on it says there are "No maps found", even though in TomTom home it says I have them installed. Im very confused I tried all the previous suggestions. Does this mean I have a faulty unit?

Try in order:
1. Resetting the unit (I'm not sure whether the 630 has a dedicated reset hole on the bottom or not; if not, hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
2. Downloading and running the Clear Flash tool found at tomtom.com/6211. run it 3 times.
3. Trying to install the map without using Home. The information is here. Where it refers to Explorer and Winrar, you use Finder and stuffit.
4. Not sure about this method but worth a shot if the other methods don't work. Connect to Home. If it logs you in (check the top right of Home's screen), then log out and while the unit is still connected, log back in. Then disconnect the unit properly from the computer using the Home's disconnect icon.

I did those steps as well as installing a TomTom update. It now workds properly. thank you very much
