No maps found

I have recently bought GO 720 on eBay, the seller's description said requires map, I didn't pay much attention to it and won the item. I asked the seller what the problem was and he said he tried downloading non-legit maps and the device now shows 'no maps found.'

I don't mind buying a new legitimate map since I got the gps for cheap, but my question is would buying a new map solve the problem? or should I just cancel the transaction?

Assuming the device works then you can purchase a map and all the other required files such as the application, voices, postcodes etc can all be downloaded for free from TomToms servers, if you have any doubt that the device might not be functional I would ditch the purchase TBH - Mike
