If pin resets (or holding the power button for 20 seconds - with and without power cable) doesn't work, the USB jack on the tomtom is probably defective. If it's in warranty, call tomtom and they'll replace it. If it's out of warranty, you'll probably have to pay for a repair or a new one.
I've never seen mention of TomTom doing any repairs. Do they? Or if you're out-of-warranty are you just out-of-luck unless you can find a 3rd party repair shop? Of course it doesn't matter as much anymore with pnd prices so low. I know that Garmin's repair prices sometimes approach the price of a new gps, especially if it's an entry-level device.
It could be just the LED has packed up, to make sure the device is charging connect it to the car charger, switch it on and then tap the sat strength meter lower right corner, at the top of the next screen is a battery symbol, is this stationary or moving? - if its moving then it is charging and a dead LED if its not moving then it doesn't look like its charging - Mike
