I have done an update on my Go 700 .andI have left it outside for 20minutes but still it cannot find any satellites Any ideas what`else I can do

Was one of the updates a new quickgpsquickfix file? If so, was the unit grabbing a signal within a reasonable amount of time prior to the update?

i don't know what was in the update but it wasn't finding them very well before and doing the update was what the support page said to do.

Tap the satellite bars. On the next screen, tap the top right on the screen to see the vertical gps bars. Are they all grey? Is the little ball on the top of the screen (right) circulating?

Well, if the ball is circulating, that is a good thing.

Try a reset on the unit.

If by a reset you mean putting a paperclip in the little hole on the bottom I have done that. I have also deleted and redone the application.

Last shot.........

Delete everything from the ephem folder on your unit. Also go here:

c:\documents and settings\yourname\my documents\TomTom\Home\Downloads\Complete\ephemeris\ and delete any subfolders there.

Now, connect to Home and you should get a new gps file. Install and see it that helps.
