Hi - I am a complete newcomer to the world of Satnav - I am considering buying a new Go 6100 because there are some good deals.
I am going to New Zealand soon and want to take it.
Can anyone tell me if the NZ map comes pre loaded? If not is it easy to download maps and will I have enough memory. I have seen something about getting a scandisc but didnt understand that ?
Also if I buy the satnav will it come with everything i need to plug and go or will i need to buy extra bits and cables.

NZ won't come preloaded but you'll be able to add the map. Everything you need is in the box.

Reference to a SanDisk is for additional maps you may wish to have on the device that won't fit in internal. A 16 gb SanDisk is a good choice. Don't go over 32 gb in size.

No, the NZ map won't be pre-loaded on your 6100 purchased in the UK market, but you will have the opportunity to download it if you like. The Australia/NZ area isn't a huge data set, so there's good reason to think it will fit on your unit along with what's already there. If not, adding a micro SD memory card solves that easily.
