Hi sorry new with these GPS devices a mate of mine from USA has the 4ET03 model USA MAPS ... he bring down to my country now is it possible upload a different country maps into this device ?

That 4ET03 won't help us pin down the model any. First two characters of his serial number will. You can buy maps for any of these devices, but you can't transfer them between devices. So he could by an Oz map if needed for your area, but you can't 'lend' him one of yours. If you have the 1st to letters of the serial, we can be more specific about how he can go about loading addition or alternative maps.

OK - that will be a what we call here an XL350, and what you call there an XL250. It has 2GB of memory, and nearly no extra space internally to store additional maps - probably can't hold the Aus/NZ map in addition to the US map. Further, I do not believe that unit has a uSD card slot, so the procedure will be to back up the entire unit to his PC (that gets him a safe copy of his US map) and then offload his US map and purchase and load the Aus/NZ map using TomTom Home. If you can get him to drop in here, we can assist in that.
