Newbie please help

I have just purchased a Tom Tom Start 20.I am running Windows 7 and cannot connect my device to the pc.
I have installed TomTom Home, put compatability mode to XP,and run as administrator but my pc still does not recognise the device
Can someone please help

You need MyTomTom, not TomTom Home for that device. Get it at tomtom.com/getstarted.

Your unit will NOT show as a removable device but, rather, a network connection.
