With TomTom HD Traffic? bundled free for the first year for all customers, Via LIVE is built to get drivers through traffic quicker than any other traffic service. The Voice Control function makes navigation speedy and convenient. By simply speaking instructions, drivers can input their addresses, navigating more safely and freely without having to take their hands off the wheel or their eyes off the road. And the differences between the VIA and 1000 models are???
No mention of magnets otherwise I can't see much difference in terms of capability other than the software, it sounds like an XL IQ Live with a microphone added for voice control to me along with a re-introduction of the screen rotate function in the menu (I wonder if this is automated by a tilt switch/ accelerometer) - Mike

theres a demo of the via at the germany ifa conference right now. bloggers are saying it has a hinged suction cup that is permanently attached. and a gravity sensor so you can mount on the dash or upside down on the windshield.

CNET is providing more details here:

Via 120 is the 4.3" version
Via 125 is the 5" version

Bluetooth is optional, via a separate add-in module.
