New user in Buffalo NY

Hi all. Just found the site doing a google search. My wife got me the 920 for Christmas and I already got to use it on a trip. Went down to Long Island the day after Christmas and even though I have made the trip thousands of times I loved using my new toy. I was wondering about the need for a remote control, but taking my wife's minivan on the trip and mounting the unit on windshield, I would hate not having it. The way the windshield slopes forward it can be a pain not using the remote.
