TomTom Go 910
The new update loaded and now my Razr V3 lost its Bluetooth connection and will not reconnect. I deleted both refferences on the phone and on the TomTom 910 and it gets to 40% and will not do anything else. I put on the old backup and it connected fine. Then got the update again and it did the same thing. Anyone have any Ideas? Or is TT trying to keep us interested and released this with out throughly checking it out. Also my v665.1293 map will not work with the map corrections it tells me to get a newer map. I thought this was the last update.

In the past I have that happen to me on occasion between the GO 910 the Moto RAZR V3. I was able to re-establish the bluetooth connection by removing the battery from the RAZR for a minute or so; then turn everything back ON and try to pair the two units again. It worked for me every time; it almost like something stays in the phone memory and that only be cleared by removing the battery from the phone. Try that and let the forum know if it worked for you. Good luck.

Navcore 7 version of the maps are required for Mapshare. I don't believe they are available yet for the 510/910.

For Mapshare you need the 675.1409 or higher maps on the x00 tomtom go's. I'm noticing that now that I've done the upgrade to 7.160, my Tomtom Go 700 will not start up when it's in the base in my car. I can start it up and then put it on the base but it wont start when it's on the base. Weird. Anyone else experience this?

Tried it again

I turned off the phone, removed the battery, twiddled my thumbs for a while, tried to make a bluetooth connection to the TT 910. Did not connect. Reinstalled the back up, got the phone to connect, reinstalled the update 7.16, and the phone will not connect. it will not recgonize the hands free connection. reinstalled the back up because if you are caught driving on a millitary installation talking on the phone that is not hands free it is a $50.00 fine. SO much for the update. I will have to suffer.

backup

I am having a similar problem, and want to go back to the old version. I don't suppose there is a way to restore the previous version of the application without deleting everything on the hard drive? I have a USB 1.0 connection and it took quite a while to load the music on.

Support sent this.

I haven't tried this as of now. I have to find my activation code again this requires you to put the code back in.

Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support. It is our goal to provide you with an exceptional customer experience. We do understand that it is frustrating when an issue like this occurs. We are more than happy to assist you with getting your phone to pair with your TomTom GO 910. However, in order to better assist you, we will require more information. We will need to know who you currently use for your cellular provider. Also, you may need to clear your flash memory on your TomTom. You will need your TomTom device, the home docking station, and a computer with Internet access. You will then need to visit http://www.tomtom.com/6221 to download the software you will be using. Once you are on the web link, you will see several downloads. You will need to select the download that is compatible with your computer. If you are using a Windows computer, select the download for Windows EXE. If you are using a Macintosh, select the download for Macintosh. After you have selected a download you will need to run the file. Follow through the prompts until you are prompted that the installation is complete. Once you are prompted its complete, remove your TomTom from the home docking station, let the TomTom reboot on its own. You may need to repair your phone, after this process is complete.

If you have any further questions or comments, please email or call us at 866-486-6866 Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM EST. Thanks again for writing. At TomTom we believe in showing you the way the easy way.

With Best Regards,
Tracey and The TomTom Customer Support Team

Frank, try this. while in the pairing process, once your phone recognizes the tomtom, go into your phone's bluetooth setup and make the tomtom a trusted device. That's likely where you're getting hung up. Once you make it trusted, do the pairing process again and it should work properly.:)
