Just recently purchased a GPS device. Had been using Google Maps and Blackberry maps on my Blackberry but it is a bit distracting while driving a tractor/trailer down the road so I decided to give in a get a GPS. Tried 2 different Garmin devices and absolutely hated them. Then last week I did some more research on TomTom.com and found 1 I might like. Unfortunately Best Buy did not carry the GO 730. Went to my local Best Buy and low and behold, they had 2 in stock. Bought 1 and took it home and got it all set up. Put it in the car and made a trip to Baltimore with my wife. In 1 day it wiped out all my info and went crazy. Got back home and went and exchanged it for the XL 350TM. Got it set up and head out on the road in my truck. It kept showing me exiting the interstate and driving in a field. I thought this isn't right. Also didn't like the limited customization of it. Took it to the nearest Best Buy and exchanged it for the XL 340TM Live. All was good except one thing, no lifetime maps code. Called customer service and was not on hold for even a minute. The lady on the phone was very nice and took all my info, had me fax a copy of my receipt to her and told me that I should have my lifetime maps straightened out with 24 hours. Checked on it again today, took 4 phone calls due to me not having the best cell phone signal in the area I was in. They got my account all straightened out and have me all set.
Long story short, all is good in my world now. Loving my TomTom XL 340TM Live.
Garmin who?
