new to site

I am new too the site and have just upgraded from the GO 720, to the XXL540TT. Am impressed with the new unit, but have a couple questions. One review I read made reference to resetting his XXl540, I couldn't find a reset anywhere on mine. What am I missing here. Also, how do you mark a new way point?. Never had a problem with 720 but am a little bit confused with this unit. Moved my GO 720 to the wife's car and my truck, and they were up to this unit, the best I ever had. Went through a number of Garmins in the past, but would never go bak after using the TomTom's for the last few years. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks! Hank G. retired USAF CMSGT

Welcome to TTF.

The 540 doesn't have a dedicated reset hole like the 720 did; rather, you hold the power button for about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sound and the unit reboots.

To add a point to a saved Itinerary, just load the itinerary and select 'Add' to add another location. Then you tap the created location and the next screen allows you to 'Mark as Waypoint', etc.
