new sofware 8.3 problems

Hi Guys.
I am A new member to this site.
Firstly i have gained alot from looking at your treads and responses.
I have done all my backups as per Andy P..Great info.
Copied missing pois when map has been updated.

SO thanks for your good advice.

NOW Back to the Problem.

I have received the latest sofware 8.3 for go520 and maps using Home 2.4

The problem is i lost the voices one day after about a week of using the software.
I got the voices back by reconnecting the sat nav to home .

Now my problem is i have lost the Saftey cameras alerts.
The ones i normally pass by have doisappeared with no warning .

I check the files as per other treads..ov2, ov2.dat, ov2.ver and the are the same size as the previous version in my backup.

Any idea what has happened.

I'm not sure this will help but try a pin reset on your unit.

I am trying to remember what I did to restore the custom alerts I had....but I believe I did it on the TT unit under edit POIs not on playing with the data base. You basically need to re-select the custom sounds you want.

Might also try rolling back 8.3 to your previous one - I would guess 8.001.

Then wait until the chatter on the forums indicates 8.3 has been squared away (but don't hold your breath on this....).

I Checked the sounds which play ok.

What actually happens is when i pass a known saftey camera there is no visual warning any more .
It looks as if some of the warnings have been removed completly.

Some warnings appear for red light cameras But not the ones i usually pass by every day.
THese camera warnings are no longer there but they were on the previous map before the update.
The files are the same size on the previous backup.
