hi, new member in uk with tom tom rider ver. 2 been a good bit of kit but can not get my thick head round where and how to get a map upgrade for central and western europe do i have to buy a new sd card and then down load the map on to the new card why is it so hard to spend my hard earned with tom tom? or am i just a bit of a thicko? i suspect its me ah well any advise on the above subject will be helpful unless you got a banging recipe for a banana split or how not to be so thick haha

-Install Tomtom HOME on your computer.
-If your SD card isn't 2gb, get a 2gb one.
-Then connect the rider to your computer via USB, open Tomtom HOME, and click "add maps" in HOME
-The HOME program will download and install your map update

Just note, a new Western Europe map (version 850) is due out in a few weeks, so you may want to wait. Currently if you buy a map it will be the February release.
