New HOME won't run

Today I just plugged in my TomTom to get updates and heard there was a new map so planned to install that too. First HOME showed a pop-up saying there's a new vers. of HOME. I clicked the 'X' to close the pop-up, but it continued to download and install ver 2.9:rant:
After finishing install, I now get an error, "TomTom HOME runtime exe failed with 0". So I rebooted with the same result.

Anyone else get this problem?

I'm told if the problem persists, please re-install HOME. I haven't tried that yet. Is there anything else I need to do before re-installing?

Sheesh! Will they ever get a better operation of HOME?

Oh... if I need to download a new HOME, which one is correct? Maybe it got the wrong one.

The current version of Home is v2.9.1.2780
You can always get the latest available version from http://www.tomtom.com/services/service.php?id=16&tab=87

Thanks guys,

I re-installed TomTom HOME and it seems to work fine. I followed the instructions for un-installing the corrupt version and saved the "download/compled" folder so I should be alright.
