TomTom Model(s)
Tomtom GO for Android
It appears HOME has just published app 9.053 for a number of devices.

It includes the:
- ONE/XL iqroutes models
- XXL models
- START, and EASE models
- GO 750/950

There is no firmware update for the last 1 year for Go720, i dont know why, maybe it is a discontinued product.

New Formware 9.053

Custom menus in an sdkregistry don't seem to work properly with this new firmware. I upgraded to this firmware on my Start, and the custom menu, which had worked fine before, just seemed to cause odd behaviour. Removed the sdkregistry folder and got back to standard menus and working fine. Have now reveted to previous firmware and custom menu working OK.

Any information or thoughts about this?

Hi dhn

Thanks for that and for replying to my post.

In fact, that is what I have on my Start and it was working just fine until firmware 9.053 came along, whereupon it wouldn't load correctly and, in fact it took me to (I think) the "advanced" options menu when I tapped "Done" it took me to the ordinary options/preferences menu and when I tapped "Done" on that it took me back to the advanced menu again. In other words, I couldn't use the device at all, because I never got to a menu with a "Plan Route" option or anything else!

Took out the sdkregistry folder and I got the ordinary "Start" (much reduced) menus and that worked fine.

Of course, the reason I installed a custom menu was to get the more advanced features that are not on the standard "Start" menus and I faced losing that functionality. I wonder if TT have got wise to this and disabled the sdk functionality in the latest firmware?

If anyone knows more about this, I'd be interested.
