New empty SD card

Hello!

My car has built-in dash navigation "Carminat" (Renault Latitude 2011) with SD memory card with 4GB of space )left card on picture). Due to need of bigger map (consequently bigger file), i've bought the microSD card by SanDisk with memory of 64GB and adapter to SD card (right card on picture). I'm following instructions by "TomTom Home" for initialisation of a new empty memory card, yet it never works. MY car detects it and says on carminat "do not remove your SD card", after couple of seconds this message dissapears. Now it should be initialised and work with TomTom Home, but it doesn't "in card reader still shows as normal memory card"
Did anyone have similar problems? Maybe anyone knows how to fix this?

A 64GB is not compatible with a Carminat.

The maximum accepted by a Carminat is 8 GB some 16 GB SD sometimes works depending on the brand of the SD.

which brand of 16GB will work? can it be microSD with adapter to SD?

I don't remember the brand.

An 8 GB should be enough for your Carminat, you don't have to download a complete Europe map.

With Tomtom Home you can download only one map area to your Carminat, the other map areas remain on your computer.

I currently have the original with came with the car - 4GB. Downloading a whole EU map was kinda my plan, but anyway i would be happy if i could download at least 1 whole region where i live in but i can't due to memory shortage

Try looking for an 8 GB if you can't find it but I think so.

What's this "LIVE" card?

The SD card with a Europe map is only compatible with a Carminat live.

if you have a non-live Carminat the SD is not compatible.

If the live option is grayed out, this means that you have not renewed your subscription and the SD card is still compatible with your Carminat.
