New 510 and questions

When the 510 is connected to TomTom Home on my computer and the 510 is connected via USB, should the on-screen pic of the Tom Tom, show a current position? Mine just says Current Position?

Also, when connected to Tom Tom Home, I can't "Navigate To" anything. It says there is "no usable locations near GPS position". But if I go to GPS mode it shows 9 satellites.

I'm confused.

Well, if I had a basement I would not try to connect from there. The problem is if I disconnect from the USB, the TomTom works fine. Same location.

When connected to my pc my 510 shows a green screen. The maps and menu can not be viewed while connected.

Shouldn't I be able to view the GPS on the screen of my PC. The 510 does go green.

No, not that I am aware of. All I can do when connected is use TT home and access the files on the TT sd card.
