I just got a 140S to replace my 130S ( IQ Routes, better volume and clarity). Do I need to delete my 130S files from my computer? Also should I uninstall TomTom Home and reinstall when I connect my 140S?

Thanks.

What 130 files are you referring to?

You should register the 140 with a different email address than the 130 with TomTom. Do so at TomTom and when you start Home, you can add the email address (account) and it'll log you in with that one. No need to uninstall Home first.

also, if you don't plan to use the 130 again, it's sometimes cleaner to go to "manage my ONE" in HOME and remove all the old 130 stuff from the "computer" tab.

No need to reinstall home.

thanks Mvl. Since I don't plan on using the 130S anymore, I deleted all my old files. I was even able to upgrade to the 840 map without any of the issues reported by some others. I made two explorer backups, one before and one after the upgrade.
