Navigation problem

I have a 910 which has proven interesting. I took a trip last week to a rural part of Ontario. It mostly worked very well. At one point, though, it had directed me to drive the current route 35 miles to my destination. But about 30 seconds later it then advised me to take a left hand turn in 500 feet! Not only was that odd, but there was no side road or turns for miles. The point it wanted me to turn was deep forest! And no, even though I have a Subaru, I ignored the advisory.

Of more irritation is my repeated failed attempts to navigate to a popular local wildlife management area where I live in PA. It's not listed in the POI directory, and it won't permit me to add it. Not only that, but it won't even accept my "navigate to" order for the road it is on. I key in the road, but nope - it isn't listed and won't permit me to key it in as a destination. I know it recognizes the road since it correctly shows it while I'm driving on it.

Are there any suggestions? Is there an alternate way, perhaps, by keying in latitude and longitude? Thx

How about using the browse map function, enter in the closest intersection to bring the map area within your destination, then tap the point on the read near the POI you are looking for.

Give that a try and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that, too. But neither rural road which intersects will be recognized. The wildlife management area is 30 years old and one would reasonably expect it to at least show on the map, but it isn't. The intersection of the two roads is about 2 miles from the WMA, and even though when I'm traveling on the roads their names appear on the screen as my present location, I'm unable to type their names in as destinations.

Try Google Earth/Tyre combo to solve your problem.
