MyDrive stuck in a loop

I just downloaded and installed MyDrive Connect on a Mac. When I click My Drive or Details in the menu to update my device, it opens my browser and brings me to a page that says, "Open MyDrive Connect, or download and install software." Since I've already installed it, I click on the MyDrive application and... it opens up a new browser window.

I can't update my device since I can't open this MyDrive thingy. Help!
 
Also, I see this solution by somebody with a Mac. Doesn't make sense to me, a pc user, but may help you:

This is what I have to do on OSX to get it to work, EVERYTIME I want to update my device:
1) exit the mydrive app
2) throw it in the trash & emtpy the trash
3) open a terminal and issue the command:
rm -rf "~/Library/Application Support/TomTom" "~/Library/Caches/TomTom"
4) reinstall the MyDrive app
5) connect my TomTom GO 6000
6) login at least 3 times on the mydrive site that pops up. Indicating a failing application state synchronisation between loadbalanced web-servers.
And Presto, a nicely working chrome again with absolutely no hassle [irony sign]

Also, just saw this .............

Make sure your port in the desktop's settings is 4000, not any other.
