VIA 1530/1535
I have a TomTom VIA 1530/1535 but when I sign into MyDrive Connect it is asking if I want to add "TomTom 125" I do have the United States flag displaying on my account. Why is this happening?

In the States:

"BM">VIA 1530 / 1535, 4GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect NAV3
"BN">VIA 1530 / 1535, 4GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect NAV3
"BO">VIA 1530 / 1535, 4GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect NAV3

In the UK:

"BM">Via 125, 4GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect NAV3
"BN">Via 125, 4GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect N

While I don't think it's a big problem, you may wish to confer with Support:

I had the same issue. Did you find out why?

It's not really an 'issue' that matters. TomTom often uses different model numbers for the same devices in different markets around the world. MyDrive doesn't always reflect the 'local' name for these devices. It's a bug, but an innocuous one. MyDrive is correct. You own a Via 125. You also own a Via 1530/1535. And a Via 225 (Australia / New Zealand market). The good news -- MyDrive knows what your hardware is, regardless of what it's being called in a given location. So while it's confusing, it's still getting you the right updates.

I have a VIA 7950 and My Connect updated and said I had a start 25 which was very disconcerting but it appears to be updating.

Confusion was increased by My Connect apparently being a glitchy mess and a slightly dodgy USB connector or cable.

As far as I know there is no VIA 7950 can you give the first 2 letters of the serial number.

Have never heard of a Via 1750, either. In order to assist you now and in the future, please follow Willy's recommendation and supply us with the first two characters of the serial numbers of whatever TomTom units you own:

Possibly I am misremembering the number. Both are the same device. The product number is 4EN52 Z1230 and the serial starts BL31. Though honestly, I don't really mind if they start calling it a Start. It was definitely a VIA when I bought it though.

Can confirm it was known as a TomTom VIA 1500TM

US devices starting with BL are known as a Via 1500. In some other parts of the world, they were also known as Start 25 and Via 1505. Recognizing only one of those, MyDrive is calling it a Start 25 as they would in Europe.

Got you covered, now!
