My TomTom requirements

Hi

As my TomTom One IQ is heading for the cemetery i have been forced to make a new purchase. Can someone advise on which model will suit me? these are my basic requirements:

Travel around UK frequently
Would like Europe on but not a neccesity
Budget max £300 (bot doesnt have to be that much)
Dont mind about screen size

Also, the more expensive models im not really clued up on, why are they so much more expensive? If it was for a good reason i would purchase the more expensive product. Can someone tell me what features they include as opposed to a basic TomTom of say £100-£130.

I wouldn't touch any of the current product range available in Europe for a number of reasons but mainly due to the reduced functionality and capability when compared devices sold a couple of years ago.

The Go-1000 and all its associated "baggage" made me change brands and I still use my Garmin 3790T to day, it's not perfect but works well with a cracking display - Mike

Careful, Mike. You probably don't want to use the word 'cracking' and 'display' in the same sentence

I understand staying away from some of the most recent stuff, but...

What would be wrong with the XXL IQRoutes Europe for £179.99, or even the XL Live IQRoutes Europe for £169.99. The latter comes with a 12 month Live subscription, too.

Agree with Canderson. You even get full Itinerary planning on the Xl and XXL.
