My TomTom is saying rotary

Hi. I’ve joined this forum as my tomtom has started saying Rotary instead of roundabout and highway instead of motorway. Anybody have a solution to this. Thanks.

Is it an app or a GPS that you have?
What model of GPS do you have?
If it's GPS try Resetting the device to factory defaults

Hi. it’s the app on my iphone. i’ve reinstalled it but that didn’t help.

Have you tried changing the map try with another language if no change come back tomorrow @JuergenAMS can see if anyone else has already reported this problem.

Can you go to Menu > Settings > Voices and check which voice is selected? I guess it's a US voice rather than UK.

I was going to suggest what JuergenAMS said when I saw his reply.
Something may have gone wrong internally. I'd suggest you actually go to Settings > Voices and see what is shows.

i have done that. the voice i use is serena who is english. If i change to Jane who is also English it reverts back to roundabouts so I think i’ll just do that. Thanks for trying everyone, I appreciate the time you spent helping

Serena is English UK. Samantha would be English US.

If I check the iOS region settings there seems to be no way to distinguish UK and US English. For me in iOS Settings > General > Language & Region I have just English as a language and the Netherlands as a region. But my spellcheck for the keyboard specifies English (UK).
