My GO350 has lost voice

Hi im new to this so please be patient with me, first question is the voice on my GO 530 started breaking up last week and then went altogether, is there a remedy for this please, also ive heard if i load my software onto a SD card my satnav will work better than with my tomtom memory, having tried to do this i failed miserably can anyone help me thank you...Ray

Sorry i dont understand what you are asking all i know is the voice on my tomtom started breaking up then stopped altogether

Yes ive done that, all the searches ive done it seems its a common problem have you never experienced it, can you please explain what computer or recorded means sorry for being a dummy

A computer voice is one that speaks street names. When you select a voice on your unit, it will show either 'speaks street names' or 'computer' after the name of the voice.

A recorded voice will only say 'turn right' while a computer voice will say 'turn right on Elm Street'.

Ive just chosen a computer name now and the test seems to be ok, is a computer voice the best option

Right thank you, but all the searches ive done suggest the loss of voice is a problem for a lot of people , is that right or what

It happens sometimes after updates. Your personal preferences don't always 'stick' and you have to go back and reset them. And as dhn noted, if the power level on the battery isn't good, the voice feature gets cut back. I don't think you ever did tells us if there was any difference in behavior between being on the car charger vs. the computer cable.
