My Go has lost my country

Something strange has happened to my Go (a 520T). It's lost Ireland. When I try to ask it to navigate to an address, it brings up a Union Jack and a list of British cities.

How can I get rid of this and get Ireland back? I like Britain fine when I'm there, but I don't happen to want to drive anywhere there right now!

Is Ireland on a different map than Britain? If so, Manage maps-->switch maps.

If not, then about the 8th of the preference screens (maybe 7) is an icon with flags. Switch the country there.

Perhaps you previously navigated to a location in Britain; if so, TT starts the next session using the same country where you left off previously.

No, DHN, Ireland seems to be on the same map as Britain. The map is called something like "United Kindom and the Republic of Ireland". It's the only one offered.

I have never navigated to anywhere in Britain with any TomTom unit.

I tried the preference with the flags, but it was only to change the language, which I have set at US English; I could change it to, say, Magyar, but doubt it would help!

The odd thing about this is that the *maps* are there, and the unit navigates to already-saved favourites (all in Ireland) perfectly well. It just seems to have lost the list of cities, streets, etc for Ireland, so I can't enter a new destination and have it find it.

I rang TomTom and got a very helpful tech support man called Ben, who told me the (simple) solution.

When the Union Jack is showing on the screen that I use to key in the address to which I want to navigate, I just tap the flag, and it offers me the Union Jack or the Tricolour. I tap the Tricolour, and the Go defaults back to offering Irish addresses.
