I returned June 9 from 11 days motoring Sicily & I was wondering . . .

Is there any way to post map errors after the fact?

I had 3 big faults:

1) In Ortygia (Siracusa), I was following directions to the hotel address & it led me down an alley that ended around a corner & demanded that I turn left into another alley too narrow for cars.

2) In Modica, it directed me to turn right down a 50 ft flight of stairs. It also confused alley/stair combos as potential roads spiking off of the main street.

3) Going to Piazza Armerina from the south, it directed me to exit & then follow a one lane gravel track through a forest.

Only the stairs could have been a problem . . .

Other than that, it worked absolutely brilliantly. She (it) even chose some great twisty roads when there was a more boring hwy alternative to the terror of my wife.

PS I realise that this is not an exclusive 930 question . . .

There is an icon you can put on the quickmenu: Mark location as map error. You can put that there (and hope you have a good memory as to what the error was later on when you want to make the mapshare correction  )

Yes - once you select "(Un)Block", your TT will allow you to select a point "On Map" for your correction. Be sure that you block both ends of these problem areas, and you'll have to specify a N/S or E/W direction for each. Sounds like your memory of the exact locations is good.

But I think those stairs were used as a "road" by James Bond on a motor scooter in one of the earlier Sean Connery versions. Perhaps that's where TeleAtlas got their wires crossed?:p

Oh yes. In Siracusa & Modica I was hotel searching. Both towns were lunched with traffic - and very narrow, very twisty streets. Tense times. But I returned the car without a scratch . . .

I will see if I can flag the spots.
