More One XL-S questions

Just picked up my One XL-S today and so far I really like it. I wonder if someone with more experience than I could answer a couple of questions?

1. I am trying to change the car symbol. I select a different symbol, the screen says the symbol hs changed, however it stays the blue triangle. I have tried many times, but nothing. Anyone see this?

2. I see I can make map changes. Is there a way to see which changes have been installed on my GPS? Also, is there a way to add a highway? A new one opened up that runs about 150km, but its not on my map.

3. I am trying to setup my wireless services using my Blackberry 8800. Even though I have internet on my BB, the Tomtom says it can't connect. Can someone help with this?

Thanks so much!!

You're probably viewing the map in 2d... which your location will always be shown as a blue arrow. Switch to 3d view of you map and you should see the car symbol you selected.

If you change a POI (postion of interest for example) it will show up right away. But if you're changing something else that needs to be verified by TomTom (and this can take some time), you will receive this change as an update thru HOME. As far as adding a road, this can't be done thru map share. You can visit TeleAtlas to add that. Here's a link:

...and this won't show up until the next map release... if then. This takes awhile.

Sorry, can't help you with this one. Hopefully someone else that knows how will chime in.

Hope this helps.
