Model 50/5. Display rotate advice

In my previous Tom Toms the display rotated automatically depending on the orientation of the unit. With my new 50/5 this doesn't seem to work and I can't find out how to enable this. The unit is promoted as being suitable for windscreen or dash mounted so it must be able to do this.

Can anyone help on this please. Pete.

When you look at the back of the device you should see the indentation opposite to the suction mount.
I believe iv you push down on that you can pull out the complete suction unit vertically and insert it from the other end.
The device keeps the same attitude but the suction unit is now at the bottom.

Have you downloaded the manual yet.

Thanks both.

I followed the thread mentioned and read all the comments and agreed with them all. What a caper!

However, I finally arrived at the explanatory photos and even then I had to use quite a bit of force to finally get there. Success!

The remarks about there being no mention of this in the downloaded manual are bang on. (Well I couldn't find anything). Glad to see that I'm not the only one baffled by this. What happened to the old automatic method?
