MEMORY - How much, and what kind, Please?

I'm confused by a couple of things regarding memory addition for my ONE XL-S.

How much memory do I need to add in order to use a couple of the regional maps and a few of the computer voices?

Do I understand correctly that added SD card basically replaces the internal memory - that the operating system and full contents of the internal memory need to be transferred to the sd card?

* To be safe you probably need at least a 2GB card.....many brands seem to work. I would opt for the fastest you can get to insure you have minimal lag in your GPS. Remember not to get and SDHC card!

* Yes the memory is like installing a blank harddrive to your computer. You need all files, including the TomTom operating system (called TomTom Applicaiton)
