maps

How much does TomTom charge for a new map?

It depends on the map... full NA is $100 (if I remember correctly) or you can go w/ regions (I think those were around $35/ea). You can also buy EU maps as well...

$100! Little too steep for me!

If you owned a Chrysler car/truck with the entertainment center worth close to 4000$ and wanted to update maps for it, the cost would be 289$ before tax. Those maps are not better than TT maps... I'm not implying you are cheap or anything, just pointing that TT's new maps are not unreasonably priced when compared to other pnd manufacturers. My personal belief is that they should be free for a year from purchase but that is another matter.

I'm not cheap, it's just that why should a buy a map that never changes! The addresses that I'm looking for will be missing from the updated map as they are with this one! I live in wisconsin, and there is a lot of county trunks, and N1923 (for example) house numbers that never show up. paying a $100.00 for the same missing addresses is pointless!

I totally agree with you on the should be free for a year...After that, I believe the $100 is in line with everyone else
