Map version question....LE

Well, got the LE in Arkansas and used it to get back to Dallas, worked really nice, even the wife was impressed...I will be doing ALOT of reading here and playing with routes before I start asking any questions about that part of it.

I do have one basic question, in looking at past posts the most current map software is v710.1575, mine has v705.1481? I have logged on and used my "code" number to see if there are any updates, TT is coming back saying I am "good".....
Any ideas?

in tomtom home, there is a menu selection under 'File' called 'Use latest map guarantee' - try that, I think it does something different.

Yes, you are right.....I broke my first rule, read everything before asking a question... I just got finished loading down the new version of maps, then backed up the TT..

I found out you have to make sure that before you install TomTom Home, you create an account on the tomtom website and then select your device as TomTom One New Edition and check software version 7.xx.

If you just install TomTom Home and request an update, it thinks you're running a TomTom One 2nd Edition and will downgrade your software from 7.xxx to 6.5! Bad news, so watch out!
