Hi I wanted to use my free map upgrade but I only have dialup. Anyone ever download these map files using a dialup connection? It recommends broadband but i don't really have access to that. Was wondering how long it would take and if I stopped it mid download (because it was taking so long) would it resume at that point or start over from the beginning if I tried again to download it? Seems like I've done other updates for windows and things that are large files and it worked ok, took hours but worked ok. Don't suppose Tomtom ever would just send you a dvd instead would they? thanks

if dial up is your only option, its going to take all day.. to download almost a gig! I would HIGHLY SUGGEST you try to get some form of high speed.. cable or dsl. Even there lite versions are as least 10X faster.. if not, maybe you can go to a friends house that does.. I would not recommend downloading a file that big w/ dial up..

more like a week!:D

a gig file on dialup....better to not even think about it. If you're buying maps, there must be an option to get it on DVD.
