Tried updating maps. It was downloading and eventually ran out of space on the C: drive. <FLAMEON>Any programmer worth his salt would have checked the amount of space on not only the C: drive but also the TomTom BEFORE beginning the download. It's not that difficult.</FLAMEOFF>
So I cleaned up about 7 GB of space and started the process again, and now I get:

I've tried calling TomTom's support line and all I get is a busy signal. The "helpful" support web site says that the phone lines are currently down. Wondering how often that happens.

In the meantime, I've updated the maps on the Garmin that I just bought for my son, and had no problem. Thinking I should just return the TomTom and pick up another Garmin.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling HOME without luck

Still getting this message trying to update new maps. Any ideas? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling HOME.

Yes, ignore it. Just X the error message every time it appears, aggrevating though it is.

Rename mydocuments\tomtom\HOME\download to mydocuments\tomtom\HOME\downloadOLD

That should clear the partially downloaded map and fix the problem.
