Map updates renault megane 2015

I have just bought a 2015 renault megane, any idea how I can get the latest up to date maps installed.

Being a Renault, I believe that would be what TomTom calls a Carminat unit. It should hold a separate SD card.
It may or may not have the capacity to handle the much larger maps that keep developing over time.

Updated thank you, but not updated the latest maps these have to be purchased, is there anyway to get the latest maps for free?

No, I do not believe that this TomTom model ever came with a free map subscription.

Deciding whether to pay really depends upon where you drive and how often changes occur in that area.

Thanks for your reply, I am in the Greater Manchester area roads changing all the time, new link Road from Hazel Grove to the airport & M56, also M56 to the 556, so will update my maps in the near future.
