Map update

Not sure if I'm in the right forum but my TomTom 1 LE is refusing to believe that a major interstate in St. Louis has re-opened. It continually re-routes me away from I 64/40 even though a large section of it has reopened. I've tried doing the correction on the device and updating via TomTom home and nothing seems to help. How can I convince it that the road is open?

You're probably referring to the section between I-170 and exit 36, since this is blocked on my map.

You have to go in segment by segment on the highway (a segment is the piece of road between an intersection), and unblock the road one way in each segment. You'll have to unblock about 6-10 segments per direction.

To do the unblock, go to "Map corrections" -> "Correct a map error" -> "(Un)block street" -> "On map". Then point to one section of the blocked road (will look like a dotted line) and then in the next screen change that section from a red (do not enter) sign to a blue arrow.

You'll have to repeat the process for each dotted line section.

After doing this to all the segments, I was able to route successfully on I-64/hwy-40 in both directions, between I-170 and ext 36, and the directions told me to stay on 64/40 the entire time.
