Map update snag

Hi, I'm using an XL IQ Routes and today was told that all sorts of updates were requires including the new Western Europe map.

Download was Ok and it started to install, succeeded with first item which was the new programme and, I think, something small and then moved on to the map update.

Part way through I got a failure (attached) and Tomtom home now says I have no updates required (!). I found a log file (attached) so I know which file failed to install.

I tried to copy the cline.dat from my hard drive to the device but it just stopped with 25 mins to go. I'm still quite new to this and would appreciate any help on what to do next please.

Thanks in advance,

David

Update: Using Tomtom Home I tried the "Add Maps" button and it offered the map I'd downloaded. I accepted and all went well, it managed cline.dat but fell over on cnode.dat.

I do have a backup but I'd rather go through with fixing the update if I can. I've never wiped files from the TT and I guess it's a bit like the first time you type Format C: ...

As I write, I've just copied cnode.dat via Windoze and that seems to be OK.

There must be a file which records the update date and data causing the auto update to say "No updates available" - can anyone point me at that and I'll copy one from the backup over it.

Well, that was fun! After a couple of hours I've got all the files copied across and it's working and showing the correct versions.

Final question: As space is now at a premium is it worthwhile (or even safe) to delete the 15 cspeech***.dat files which are not the GBR version? I assume these are for audio in different languages.
