Map Update Problem

Since updating my GO 720 to NA 8.35 I have lost my Plus Traffic Service. I can connect and receive the Plus Weather but Plus Traffic isn?t even list under my services, when I click on enable it read (your current subscription may have expired). My subscription is good until 12-Feb-2010.

Did you try a reset on your unit?

Yup- Soft only
Should I try a Hard reset also?

At first is was reading No Traffic for you region, so I did the update fix by adding a favorite which changed the response to the (your subscription may have expired)

I was over at the Brit forum and it seems that this is a common problem that may be related to downloading the new map with Home 2.6, which I did. I now have home 2.7 loaded but need to remove, download and install NA 835 on my GO 720 using Home 2.7. How do I go about redoing the download install? Do I just go to a backup then ask for an update from Home after?

Yes, make a complete Explorer backup of your unit's contents.

Then use Explorer to MOVE (not delete) the North_American map folder off your unit to a temp folder or somewhere.

Then use Home to Add Maps and the new map should show as being on the computer (click 'more info' to be sure) and let it install.

If that works, make another complete backup.

I had to down load NA 8.35 again using Home 2.7 then it worked, using the copy saved to temp that was down load by Home 2.6 still gave problems getting traffic to work. Maybe a Stick to let others know if you use traffic, down load using Home 2.7 ONLY.
