I am not pleased with the options one gets to make corrections (maybe I just don't do it right).

Tried to show a temporary block of Altona Road north of Kingston Rd in Pickering, ON.
It wouldn't allow me to block the road, only either direction alternatively.
I sent an explanatory note. wonder when/if it will show up.

I then tried to show the 3 weeks old railroad underpass, connecting Simcoe St with Lower Simcoe St, downtown Toronto.
Again I found it impossible but hopefully the explanatory text will eventually be looked at (maybee by the time we are offered the 875 maps!).

Reminds me of the frustrations and finally giving up changing the speed limits 8 to 10 times, on McCowan Road from the lake to St Johns Side road in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
Cheers,
Arno

I'm successful with (un)block road, and then making it red in both directions. Is this what you're trying?

Reporting it might help. A huge new interstate ramp in the heart of rhode island (probably 50 cars/minute) took 8 months to add to the Tomtom map. So I doubt anything will show up faster than that.

Tomtom keeps saying they are paying lots of attention to the anonymous data submitted by users, so make sure you have that on when you drive that underpass.

I may not have been too far off the mark.
I also had made a submission by eMail to Tele Atlas in December and got a reply with reference number.

Thank you for contacting Tele Atlas. Based on a review of your report, we can now confirm that the change you suggested has been made. It will go out in the next release of our map database. This report is now closed.

Tele Atlas supplies maps to the companies that make devices or applications, not directly to the people who use them. We update the map we supply so these companies can incorporate the map update in their own systems. When this process is complete, your change will be made available to you. It may be possible to purchase an updated map; please contact your device manufacturer or application provider for further information.

Thanks again for your willingness to help keep Tele Atlas maps up-to-date and accurate!

Good for you, Arno.

I can't discuss the details here but trust me when I say the entire issue of the implementation of mapshare changes in a timely manner is being discussed elsewhere with TomTom 'authorities'.

Good to hear that the Laird is finding out that the natives are getting restive, dnn.

I guess I should have sent them the Street view picture taken early in the year, showing the then current state of progress.

something's definitely changed for the better recently. i havent had the time to rekey all my 720/930 edits into my 740 yet, but last week they started showing up on their own. so it seems something is starting to be fixed. hopefully a reprioritization of staff to fixing these issues.

Don't know about Mapshare improvements, but my direct correction submissions to teleatlas.com rarely appear - and I don't mean in our TomTom maps - I mean even on their own site. 1 change out of 5 reported 15 months ago has been incorporated. The worst of them causes major routing issues - a highway that no longer enters a town as it once did. They routed around the town over two years ago, so getting into town requires a rather different approach.

I blocked a street apparently in error, because now when I get to it I am told, "You have reached your destination". How can I clear any map corrections I have made (and any others if necessary) so I won't have that problem ? There must be a file where these are kept so I can just clear/delete it and start new?
This was done before the last map update which did not write over the block/error. I cleared the route (home) and reentered it, but it still ends at that location on the way. Could it be possible I set some sort of "way point" in error? If so, how do i clear it? Thank you !!

Sorry, I DID find "Tools" at the top of the screen on the menu bar.
I was looking on the Tom Tom screen and went into Screen Preferences (and didn't get the delete option). That was easy (when I follow your instructions)!!! Thank you again.
