map correction

When I try to update my tomtom with a update for north american maps I
see it update to 100% then it backs up to 90% and it and says it has to close
because of an error. I've tried everything I can think of and can't get it right. Need Help

What unit do you have, what map version is on it now?

I have a 720 & I don't know which map it is .The correction is for 173 KB

are these mapshare corrections that it's trying to download?

Mapshare corrections come from Tom Tom. When you open HOME, and connect your unit, are you clicking "update my device"?

yes, when I turn it on with the base it says their is a correction for NA maps to be downloaded

What exactly is it called? It should list all of the updates available for download before you click install.
