After a frustrating hour trying to mount the TT510 on my Intel Imac, I did some web searching and realized that the 10.4.9 update had screwed with the usb functionality and was preventing the TT from mounting.
I've found a combination of suggestions that allow my 510 to mount reliably.
Not sure which are actual solutions to the bug and which are smoke and mirrors but this is working for me.
1. Mount an external usb drive on a rear usb port.
2. Unmount the drive
3. Plug TT dock into the usb port of the keyboard
4. Turn on TT. It mounts!
Seems like a lot of black magic going on here but I don't have to repeat steps 1 and 2 unless I reboot the Intel Imac.
