loss of postcode

when i updated my tomtom xl iq i lost the ability to search by postcode any ideas why and how to get it back

Don't be confused by the name of the file. It contains the postcode data.

Create a folder called "zip" (lower case) in the root of your unit.

Use WinRar or similar to extract the contents of the zip.zip file into that folder.

Just curious - which update did you do when this happened? Map or application, or both?

not sure which it was i think it was just maps. i have got this one as a spare (cheap last year at amazon) as i have an older one xl for in the wagon. so with not using it for a while it told me needed updating which i did
